What work qualifies for the $149 evaluation credit?
The $149 evaluation fee is credited toward resulting paid work with Gold Shield. Service/diagnostic fees and maintenance fees are excluded.
Will I get a quote the same day?
Quote timing depends on equipment selection and project complexity. Our team will confirm the next steps and expected timing; a complete same-day quote is not guaranteed.
What if I decide not to replace anything?
That's completely fine. You still get the full written findings and a clear picture of your system's condition. There's no obligation to proceed with any work whatsoever.
Do I need to be home for the visit?
Yes. We need access to your equipment — furnace, AC unit, electrical panel, and any accessible ductwork. Plan to be present for the full appointment so we can walk you through the findings in person.
Is this the same as a tune-up or maintenance visit?
No. A tune-up is routine maintenance. This is a diagnostic evaluation — we're assessing your system's design, efficiency, safety, and expected lifespan, and producing a replacement quote. It's a fundamentally different scope. If you're looking for ongoing maintenance, ask us about the Gold Shield Club**.
